Refund Policy
Version: 1.0
Effective Date: 4 May 2026
This policy explains how cancellations, plan changes, and credits work for indi subscriptions. It supplements section 16 of our Terms of Service.
1. Subscriptions and Renewals
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, as selected) until cancelled. You retain access through the end of the period you have paid for.
2. Cancelling a Subscription
You can cancel at any time. Cancellations must be made through the platform where you started the subscription:
- Web subscriptions — through the Stripe billing portal in Settings → Subscription.
- Apple App Store subscriptions — through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Google Play Store subscriptions — through your Google Play subscription settings.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, we do not provide cash refunds for the unused portion of a billing period that has already started.
3. Free Trials
If you start a free trial, you will not be charged provided you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. Cancellations must be made through the platform where you started the trial.
4. Switching Between Monthly and Annual
Web (Stripe) subscribers: you can switch between monthly and annual at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Stripe applies proration automatically.
App Store and Play Store subscribers: in-app plan switching is not currently supported. To move to an annual plan, cancel your current mobile subscription in your App Store or Play Store settings, then resubscribe to the annual plan on our website. Section 5 below explains how we credit you for any unused mobile time.
5. Credit for Unused Mobile Subscription Time
If you switch from a mobile (Apple or Google) subscription to a web subscription, contact our support team after you have cancelled the mobile subscription and started the new web subscription. We will apply a credit equal to the unused days remaining on the cancelled mobile subscription, added to the end of your new web subscription period.
The credit is applied as additional subscription time, not as a cash refund.
6. Refunds Processed by App Stores
Refunds for App Store and Play Store subscriptions are governed by Apple and Google's own refund policies and are processed by them, not by indi. We are happy to advise you on how to request a refund through those stores, but we cannot issue a refund on their behalf.
7. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Australian Consumer Law and equivalent protections in other jurisdictions where you reside.
