For families who move to Thriving Kids, allied-health access is expected to be delivered through that program's foundational-supports framework, though the operational detail is still being announced.

Plan-managed participants share indi with their plan manager and we invoice the plan manager directly. indi is not a registered NDIS provider. Non-registered providers are commonly used by self-managed and plan-managed participants.

A care team member is a contact you've added to your child's profile — like a digital address book entry for their therapist or doctor. A connected clinician is a care provider who also uses indi and has been linked to your child's profile. Connected clinicians can view your child's timeline, session notes, and updates directly from their indi clinic portal, making collaboration seamless.

How do I know if a care team member is connected on indi?

Connected clinicians display a link icon next to their name in your child's care team. This means they have an active indi account and can see your child's profile through the clinic portal. If there's no link icon, the person is saved as a contact only — they don't have access to view anything in indi.

How do I invite my child's therapist to connect on indi?

Go to your Family settings (Account > Family tab) and look for the "Clinician Access" section. Tap "Share with Clinician", select the child you'd like to share, and indi will generate a unique share code and link. Send the code or link to your child's therapist — they can use it to connect to your child's profile on indi.

When a clinician enters your share code or clicks the share link, they'll be connected to your child's profile. They can then view your child's timeline, see updates you've shared, and add their own session notes. The clinician appears as a connected member in your child's care team with a link icon.

How long is a share code valid?

Share codes expire after 30 days. If your clinician hasn't used the code before it expires, you can simply generate a new one from the Clinician Access section. You can also revoke an active code at any time if you change your mind.

Yes. You can generate a separate share code for each clinician who works with your child. Each clinician connects independently and only sees the specific child you've shared with them — not your other children or family information.

Can I remove a clinician's access?

Yes. If you need to revoke a clinician's access, you can remove them from your child's care team. For pending share codes that haven't been claimed yet, you can revoke them directly from the Clinician Access section in your Family settings.

indi uses generative AI to help summarise reports, draft messages, and surface patterns from what you've shared. In trying to be helpful, the AI can occasionally produce responses that are incorrect, out of date, or missing important context. This is known as "hallucinating" and it's a known limitation of the underlying models indi relies on. For example, indi might paraphrase a therapist's report in a way that loses nuance, or write something that sounds confident but isn't fully grounded in the documents you've uploaded. It can also get confused about recent events or specialist terminology it hasn't seen enough of. Please don't rely on indi as a single source of truth, especially for medical, clinical, or other high-stakes decisions. Always double-check important details against the original report, message, or your child's care team.
